A Hen called Ann!

Ratheniska

Chicks and chocolate eggs are on the minds of all the Junior Infants as Easter approaches, so we decided to find out where real eggs come from. Ms. Fingleton came to the rescue by bringing her hen, Ann, to school! We discovered lots of information by just looking at and listening to Ann. Ann was also very curious about us but, by the end of the day, she was quite happy to go home to her hen friend called Barry. (Ms  Fingleton’s hens are named after the characters from her very first school reader-“Ann and Barry”!!)
