6th Class are busy preparing for our Confirmation which will be held on the 29th of March at 12 o clock. We have chosen our confirmation names and we are looking forward to our big day.

We had a great night at the Credit Union and Cumann na mBunscol table quizzes. Unfortunately we did not win anything this year. We are now looking forward to the hurling and camogie season.

We designated the week beginning February 10th as Pet Week. We learned lots about caring for our pets. Jamie from Petmania came to visit and brought a gerbil, a guinea pig and a rabbit. Dan brought in his hamster called Lightning. He told us that he called him that name because he is as fast as lightning!

The pupils from 3rd to 6th are coming to the end of their  7-week session of swimming lessons. They have been  under the watchful eyes of the staff of  Portlaoise Leisure Centre. A huge thank you to the Parents’ Council for once again subsidising the cost of the lessons.

As the country battled the storms over the last few weeks, Junior Infants decided to test its speed, direction and have a bit of fun trying to catch a bag of wind!
