Partnering Children on their Developmental Journey

Learning at Home

Ratheniska

We are all now well settled into our new learning at home routine. As we continue our remote teaching and learning, many pupils take a break from Literacy and Numeracy by getting creative. The following short video has just a small selection of work from all classes in the school. It is very uplifting to have so many talented children in our midst.

Term 2 and Letter from Minister for Education

Ratheniska
Welcome back to Term 2 and online school. We hope that everyone is keeping well and staying safe. Teachers worked hard during Term 1  to prepare for online learning and are already so happy to see all your work coming in.  Seesaw is the school’s platform of choice and is approved by the  Department of Education and Science. This time around you will notice that there will be a more blended approach to learning, ie more teacher-led instructional videos to help the children with their work and more school-led reading material.  Parents are reminded to be astute with the work prescribed by Class Teachers through SeeSaw. It is acknowledged that all families will have circumstances that are particular and if there are days/ times when you cannot reach on work that is perfectly understandable. Focus on making reading enjoyable, keeping up as best as possible with number work, and taking as much fresh air/ nature breaks as possible.
Please remember that Class Teachers are available to you through SeeSaw or through Class email should you have any queries or concerns  and school e-mail will be checked daily as always.
The following is a letter from Ms Norma Foley to Parents of Students receiving Remote Learning.
