In Aistear in Senior Infants this month, we are focusing on the topic of The Bakery. We are baking some tasty treats, taking orders and waiting to be served by the busy waiters!
Junior Icemen!
RatheniskaJunior Infants have been exploring the theme of hot/cold and freezing/melting in the last week. We had just one frosty morning to crack the ice in the puddles and write our names on the icy wall at the front of the school. Not content with that, we decided to place some Lego men in an ice-cube maker, pop them in the freezer and watch them freeze. We then had to rescue them from their icy world by passing them from one to the other and melting them bit by bit. We had cold hands at the end but our Lego men were free!
Swimming into a New Year!
Ratheniska3rd to 6th Classes have got off to an active start in 2019 as they head to Portlaoise Leisure Centre every Monday and Wednesday for a 6-week session of Swimming lessons. Under the watchful eyes of the instructors, each and every child is progressing at his/her level and starting off the new year in an active manner.
