Happy Mother’s Day!

Ratheniska

We would like to wish all Mums a very Happy Mother’s Day! At this time of year, the boys and girls would normally have spent  some time in school crafting and creating something lovely for that special person in their lives – Mammy, Mummy, Mum, Mom……

This year, we hope that you will still be the recipients of homemade cards from your children and that they will sign and date them – when they are looked at in years to come, they will be very historical documents!

Finally, you might like to look at the story, “Five Minutes Peace” with your little ones in Infants while the older children carry out some random acts of kindness for you throughout the day!

All rounds were hotly contested and at the end of a very enjoyable night , the winners were announced and Ratheniska came in first, second and third place.

Thank you to all who helped organise this event.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles!

Ratheniska

The Green Schools’Team are getting ever closer to applying for the Green Flag for Travel and Transport at the moment. They are working very hard at making us aware of the possibilities of reducing our carbon footprint.

With this in mind, Junior Infants and Rang 5 got together to make some planes, trains and automobiles from plastic bottles. The Juniors were delighted with having their big buddies helping them create something which was previously destined for the bin!
