Catholic Schools Week is being celebrated in schools across the island of Ireland from Sunday 23 January – Sunday 30 January. The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2022 is ‘Catholic Schools: Living Life to the Full’. In our school we took time, on Wednesday, to celebrate our grandparents in many different ways. While some of the older classes joined in  Mass which was streamed from Holy Family Church, Askea, the boys and girls from 1st and 2nd Classes made cards and wrote some very beautiful thoughts about their grandparents.

During our Visual Arts class in Juniors, we have been looking at the work of American artist Jackson Pollack who was known for his abstract expressionism. We had great fun trying out his techniques and spattered away to our hearts’ content. We were rather pleased with our finished artwork!
