2nd Class have had a busy time as scientists this term. We have investigated many things from finding out what plants need t0 grow by growing cress seeds on special shamrock shaped sponges to exploring our sense of taste with Tom the Taster by tasting a variety of foods!

The Easter Bunny paid a visit to Ratheniska this week. The Parents’ Council organised a great Treasure Hunt for us and everybody was a winner. They presented each child with a goodie bag full of treats. Two lucky children from each class also won an Easter egg. A huge thanks to all involved.

Last September First Class planted Narcissi bulbs.

Here are the fruits of our labour.

25 of our pupils were among a group of over 250 pupils from Portlaoise parish who were confirmed in St. Peter and Paul’s church on March 29th. The ceremony was conducted by Bishop Denis Nulty. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
