Happy Easter!

Ratheniska

The Staff and pupils of our school would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter – this wish comes especially from Senior Infants who, according to their  lovely artwork, are an egg-stra special group!

We will return to school on April 9th for what promises to be another busy term!

We held our very successful Easter Treasure Hunt today, 21st March, much to the delight of all the boys and girls. The clues were eagerly sought around the grounds of the GAA pitch and we treated all to an Easter egg for their efforts. Click on the Easter Bunny to see what we got up to.

Lá ‘le Pádraig 2018

Ratheniska

Bhaineamar an-taitneamh as an tseachtain roimh Lá ‘le Pádraig. Bhíomar ag péinteáil, ag bácáil, ag damhsa, ag canadh agus ag seinm ceoil. Bhí céilí mór againn ar an Déardaoin agus bhíomar gléasta go galánta ar an Aoine in onóir do Naomh Pádraig. Féachaigí ar na pictiúir anseo.

A Visit from an Author.

Ratheniska

We were delighted to welcome children’s author, Tatyana Feeney to our school today, Friday 9th March. Tatyana spoke to Junior and Senior Infants about her work as an author and illustrator and went on to read “Socks for Mr Wolf” and “Small Elephant’s Bathtime”.

A huge thank you to the Parent’s Association for organising this event.

Foxes in First!

Ratheniska

Rang 1 have been learning everything there is to know about foxes in recent weeks. They really enjoyed researching information and using the school iPads to read books about foxes. The fox experts wrote reports about foxes, made paper plate foxes and are currently reading “Fantastic Mr Fox” by Roald Dahl. They are looking forward to the film adaptation of the book in a few weeks time.
