Happy Easter!

The Staff and pupils of our school would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter – this wish comes especially from Senior Infants who, according to their  lovely artwork, are an egg-stra special group!

We will return to school on April 9th for what promises to be another busy term!

Meeting the Easter Bunny!

The Easter Bunny accepted an invitation from the Parents’ Association and arrived at school today to announce that despite the continuing wintry weather, Easter is just around the corner! Hop on over to the Parents’ Association page to see some great photos!

Easter 2018

We held our very successful Easter Treasure Hunt today, 21st March, much to the delight of all the boys and girls. The clues were eagerly sought around the grounds of the GAA pitch and we treated all to an Easter egg for their efforts. Click on the Easter Bunny to see what we got up to.

World Down Syndrome Day 2018

We joined with the  worldwide Down Syndrome community today, 21st March, to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. All classes learned something about Down Syndrome and we had our very own celebrity, Leah, to keep an eye on things. For more information on our local Down Syndrome Centre visit

Lá ‘le Pádraig 2018

Bhaineamar an-taitneamh as an tseachtain roimh Lá ‘le Pádraig. Bhíomar ag péinteáil, ag bácáil, ag damhsa, ag canadh agus ag seinm ceoil. Bhí céilí mór againn ar an Déardaoin agus bhíomar gléasta go galánta ar an Aoine in onóir do Naomh Pádraig. Féachaigí ar na pictiúir anseo.

Interschools Equestrian Winner!

Happy Mother’s Day to all!

A Visit from an Author.

We were delighted to welcome children’s author, Tatyana Feeney to our school today, Friday 9th March. Tatyana spoke to Junior and Senior Infants about her work as an author and illustrator and went on to read “Socks for Mr Wolf” and “Small Elephant’s Bathtime”.

A huge thank you to the Parent’s Association for organising this event.

Foxes in First!

Rang 1 have been learning everything there is to know about foxes in recent weeks. They really enjoyed researching information and using the school iPads to read books about foxes. The fox experts wrote reports about foxes, made paper plate foxes and are currently reading “Fantastic Mr Fox” by Roald Dahl. They are looking forward to the film adaptation of the book in a few weeks time.

Cumann na mBunscol Tablequiz

The annual Cumann na mBunscol tablequiz was held in the Holy Family School in Portlaoise this week.
