As part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary programme, we were delighted to welcome Lieutenant Lee to our school recently. He presented us with a copy of the 1916 Proclamation and a National flag. Orla from 6th Class read a section of the Proclamation while Chloe from Junior Infants accepted the flag on behalf of the school community. We look forward to raising the flag on March 15th, 2016.

It was a great chance to enhance our researching skills and also to improve our public speaking skills. We would like to thank our audience of 3rd class and to Mrs Dunne and Mrs Stapleton for their feedback and advice.
