Partnering Children on their Developmental Journey

2016 Centenary Programme

As part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary programme, we were delighted to welcome Lieutenant Lee to our school recently. He presented us with a copy of the 1916 Proclamation and a National flag. Orla from 6th Class read a section of the Proclamation while Chloe from Junior Infants accepted the flag on behalf of the school community. We look forward to raising the flag on March 15th, 2016.2015-09-030

Public Speakers of the Future

6th class boys and girls carried out research as well as composing and presenting a project on the National Ploughing Championships to 3rd class before the week off. It was a great chance to enhance our researching skills and also to improve our public speaking skills. We would like to thank our audience of 3rd class and to Mrs Dunne and Mrs Stapleton for their feedback and advice.

On the run!

Plough On!

Ploughing fever has hit Ratheniska once more as the 84th National Ploughing Championships takes place in the fields around our school. We would like to welcome everyone to Ratheniska and send our best wishes to our former pupil , Brendan Greene, who competes in the Senior Under 28 Class.
