Autumn has arrived and Junior Infants have been out searching the hedgerows around our school for signs of falling leaves, berries and anything else we could find. We spotted elderberries, haws and lots of blackberries. We would love to have found a horse chestnut tree with some conkers but we decided we would have to go further afield some day to do just that!
Computer Classes Resume
RatheniskaNow that we are well settled into our new school year, computer classes have resumed under the leadership of Ms. Craven. All pupils from 3rd to 6th classes attend their class each Tuesday. While those in 3rd class are introduced to to basic word processing, those in 6th will aim to be proficient in creating powerpoints, mastering Excel and getting to grips with coding – all very necessary skills in our age of technology.
Sunny Numbers in First!
RatheniskaAs the September weather continues to be kind to us for our outdoor learning, First class headed outside and were spotted working on their computational skills – much more enjoyable and engaging than in the classroom!
A New School Year!
RatheniskaOn Monday 30th August, we all arrived back to school full of delight to meet our friends again and to start our new school year. We would like to welcome our 22 new Junior Infants along with some other boys and girls who joined some of the older classes. We are following all Covid guidelines and are looking forward to a full school year in class with lots of adventures and learning along the way.
