Senior Infants got together with their big buddies in 5th class for their 1st paired reading session of the year. Paired Reading builds collaboration, encourages cooperation, and supports peer-assisted learning. As well as improving their reading skills, they got to know the older boys and girls who will be looking out for them during the school year ahead.
National Tree Day 2022
RatheniskaNational Tree Day 2022 took place on Thursday, 6th October. This year’s theme was ‘Root for Nature’. Junior Infants got involved by registering for a free sapling of our native holly tree. We planted it in a corner on our school grounds and we hope it will thrive and produce lots of berries for the birds for many years to come.
Then we decided to add some tulip bulbs to our flower beds and we are looking forward to seeing them bloom in Spring.
