Oisín the Mascot

As Ireland prepared to play Bosnia Herzegovina in the European Championship playoff the last week, we were all cheering on Oisín from Senior Infants who was one of the mascots chosen for the evening. Oisín had an unforgettable evening meeting the players and soaking up the atmosphere in the Aviva Stadium. He is seen here with David Meyler who plays with Hull City. 2015-11-30

Kick for Kolkata

Ratheniska

As we went to the GAA pitch today for our usual breaktime, we were surprised to meet Kevin O’Riordan from Tipperary who is on a fundraising mission for The Hope Foundation. He is aiming to to kick a point in 1,616  club and county GAA grounds around Ireland. The money he raises will go towards supporting an education programme for vulnerable and underprivileged street and slum children in Kolkata. We witnessed him scoring his point in Ratheniska and cheered him on his way to many more club grounds. For more information about his fundraising efforts click here.
