On May 19th, 22 eager little ones came to have their first taste of “Big School” for an hour or so. They quickly settled in and tried out lots of toys. They didn’t even seem to miss their Mams or Dads who disappeared for a while to get a briefing on our school. Many thanks to the Parents’ Council who provided refreshments to all.
The Well.
RatheniskaIn Junior Infants we like to go out and explore our local environment in Ratheniska. This week while discussing the theme of water, we went for a short walk to see the well. Most pass it every day so it was great to have a look at it close up. Everybody agreed that it was “Cool”!
A bed for my Ted!
RatheniskaSenior Infants have had their thinking caps on to create a bed for their favourite teddy. The boys and girls were busy collecting materials for their project. Once the beds were completed, the teddies enjoyed a sleepover in Ratheniska school on Monday and Tuesday nights. Everyone reported that the teddies slept very well in their new creations.
