The Great Junior Infant Bake Off!

The little ones in Junior Infants put down the pencils this week and took up the wooden spoons to make some rather cute gingerbread men and gingerbread houses.The class was divided into three teams and took their task very seriously. The results were spectacular and the question is which one would you vote for??

The Elves and The Shoemaker

Junior and Senior Infants had a lovely time taking part in an interactive show in the Dunamaise Theatre called The Elves and the Shoemaker. It was presented by Fidget Feet Theatre company and we all got a chance to be the Shoemaker’s apprentices. The Shoemaker The Elves

‘Wicked’ the Musical

4th, 5th and 6th classes enjoyed a trip to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on December 11th to see  West End’s production of the musical Wicked. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Talent Show

First Class had an end of term Talent Show. We had musicians, poets, magicians, puppeteers and did our own version of the ‘cup’ song.Talent Show

First Class went on a trip to see Santa at Emo Court. We enjoyed a hot chocolate and a gingerbread man afterwards. We fed the ducks while we were there.

2nd and 3rd Class go Ice Skating

2nd and 3rd class enjoyed a trip to Kilkenny On Ice on December 12th. For many of the children it was their first time ice skating and they had such a ball that it certainly won’t be their last!

Mass for Advent

To celebrate the season of Advent, we had our Advent Mass on Tuesday, 10th December. Fr. Paddy made it very meaningful for us, Fifth Class led the Readings and prayers and some of our talented musicians played a lovely rendition of Away in a Manger.
