A huge thank you to all parents who made the post-Communion reception in the Hall such a success on Saturday last. We took the opportunity, at the end of Mass to thank Mrs Stapleton for all her work and dedication during her teaching career. We would like to wish her all the very best as she begins the next chapter of her life.
We were delighted once again to bring the Easter Bunny to visit all our young boys and girls in school. The eggs were scattered about, the treats were ready and 220 boys and girls arrived to the GAA pitch to begin their hunt for clues and eggs. Once again, we were delighted to support local industry, Cocoa Couture who supplied the yummy treats. Thank you to all the parents who helped to make this another successful day.
We held our annual table quiz on Wednesday 27th. The hall was packed with 25 teams of eager boys and girls from Timahoe, Stradbally, Ballyroan, the Heath and , of course, Ratheniska! Following several rounds of testing questions, our own boys and girls came out on top. Many thanks to all who supported this fundraiser and to the parents who organised the night.
All the children received a chocolate treat today from the Parents’Association. We sourced this from a local business Cocoa Couture which is based in Mountmellick. All the produce is from sustainable sources and the packaging is degradable and compostable.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our parents, students and teachers for their help, cooperation and participation during Term 1. We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and we look forward to an equally busy Term 2.
We held our Annual Halloween Disco on Wednesday 24th. As usual, the spooky atmosphere created by Brian Phelan and Danny Brennan added hugely to the evening. A huge thank you to all who came and enjoyed the night, both parents and children.
The boys and girls from 5th and 6th Classes took part in the Cumann na mBunscol Finals on Wednesday and after the matches, we all went to Supermacs to celebrate the end of the football season for the year. Thanks to the continued support from all our parents, we were able to fund this for all the footballers.

We would like to welcome each and everyone back to a new school year. As usual, we have a busy schedule ahead and to start off with, we are holding a “Meet & Greet” night at the school on Tuesday 25th September at 8.30pm. This will be an opportunity to reacquaint with those we haven’t met for a while and to get to know some more of the members of our school community. We look forward especially to meeting all those who are new to our school.
Our final event of the school year was very successful and great fun, as we got in the mood for Summer at our annual Summer Disco. We bopped and rocked the night away, said farewell to 6th class and looked forward to many great events in the coming year.
